India – The future centre of the business world

At the moment of writing there are 1,115,215,768 people in India.  And that is growing by about 1 person per second.  You’ll find quite a scary population counter here.  It says there are also 6,643,694,634 people in the world – but that’s growing much faster.

Awesome.

I am obsessed with India at the moment.

Of all the BRIC countries I think India will prove to be the most important.

(My friend Bruno – an excellent Lisbon-based consultant – thinks it will be Brazil.  Glenn Schloss just assumes it will be China.)

Hear me out.

India has some amazingly large businessesAmazingly high levels of literacy and education.

In the European Union, Ireland has had the best decade of its long and colourful history, because it is the only English-speaking country in the Euro.  India will soon discover it can be the same to the world.

And I'm really interested in being involved in that.

My latest plan is to help organise a conference for later this year on "Change & Internal Communications" in New Delhi.  What do you think?  Good idea?

 P.S. Here’s how to wear a sari.
